ARCH ENEMY, EXODUS in Toronto

January 27, 2010 -- A fantastic thrash double bill to kick off the new year!! Unfortunately I was stuck late at work and didn't get there in time to see Arsis or Mutiny Within. I arrived barely in time for Exodus, who set a high standard with previous concerts, and despite Rob Dukes' poor choice in hockey apparel (NY Rangers? Sean Avery?? WTF?!!) they were lethal and brutal as ever. But I was most surprised by Arch Enemy. I first saw them almost ten years ago right after Angela joined and I was worried they were a Gothenburg fad who wouldn't last. Dead wrong!! Their live performance gets better every time and Angela is even more terrifying and sinister than ever. Amazing.
