That Rev 16:8 album is menacing, and worthy of mention in this thread.

Terrifying and vehement  skull

I took a trip to the other board and noticed someone mentioned the new Taake album.  Outside of that, I didn't see anything else interesting  skull

I have nothing to add other than I just realized that the only black metal I've purchased this year was the Marduk ep and the new Absu (if that counts-- it's more black-thrash).

Agreed on your assessment of Absu (while the album is very cool).  The great thing  is that all of the cool releases from this year will still be cool next year, and the year after, etc.   YES

These days, I'm only ever in a rush to buy something if it's a limited-edition type deal.  How is the new Marduk anyhow?  To tell you the truth, I've never really been into them that much (despite their stature in the scene).

I dig the new Marduk - it's just a 3 song EP but it's nice and blasty and blasphemous.  abbath

I know I shouldn't be making any jokes in the black metal thread ... but that sounds like a great flavour for a bag of chips!  lol
