LVP is on my Shitlist.  Mr. Integrity he ain't.  This (album) Ain't Pleasure, that's for sure.  One More Thing, I'm going to pretend that LVP is dead-- to me, anyways...

Def Leppard "Hysteria" - High n' Dry is far and away my favorite but this album holds so much nostalgic importance.
King Diamond "Them"
Opeth "Morningrise"
Thin Lizzy "Jailbreak" - not my favorite TL but I couldn't live without Emerald or Warrior
Megadeth "Rust in Peace"
Blind Guardian "Tales From The Twilight World"
Savatage "Streets"
Opeth "My Arms Your Hearse"
Def Leppard "High n Dry"
Gamma Ray "Somewhere Out In Space"

Ah, yes, that old 20-albums-that-make-the-voices-in-my-head-go-away chestnut.  A metal board mainstay.

Truth is, I could live without 'em.  But... they sure do make my boring life a whole lot better.

If I had to re-buy my record collection, I'd start with these 20:

Black Sabbath - The Mob Rules
Opeth - Blackwater Park
Opeth - My Arms Your Hearse
Metallica - Ride The Lightning
Metallica - ...And Justice For All
Rush - Moving Pictures
Tool - Aenima
Behemoth - Demigod
Bloodbath - Resurrection Through Carnage
Alice in Chains - Dirt
Strapping Young Lad - Alien
Down - II
At The Gates - Slaughter of the Soul
Spiritual Beggars - On Fire
Nevermore - This Godless Endeavour
Candlemass - Candlemass
Ozzy Osbourne - Diary of a Madman
The Crown - Crowned in Terror
The Haunted - One Kill Wonder
Sahg - I

Ask me tomorrow, and the list would no doubt be different.

So much great metal out there!!!   nana

Good list, I dig 14 of those very much  peace

Wow.  I totally forgot I had already replied to this and was already compiling a list in my head when I saw my post.  ...a list that is considerably different than the one above.  God, I really am a phase-listening ass.  lol

These can stay:

Metallica - Master of Puppets
Metallica - Ride the Lightning
Slayer - Divine Intervention
Mercyful Fate - Melissa
King Diamond - Them
The Crown - Deathrace King
Obituary - Cause of Death
Judas Priest - Painkiller
Judas Priest - Defenders of the Faith
Sepultura - Beneath the Remains
Cannibal Corpse - Gallery of Suicide
Death - Leprosy
Death - Symbolic
Emperor - Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk

As of right now, I'd have to add these:

Deicide - Once Upon The Cross
Slayer - Hell Awaits
Suffocation - s/t (tough call between that and Effigy though)
Behemoth - The Apostasy
Biohazard - s/t
Malevolent Creation - Fine Art of Murder

...or something.

Guns N' Roses- Appetite For Destruction
John Cougar Mellencamp- Scarecrow
Bruce Springsteen- Born in the USA
Helloween- Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 1
Blind Guardian- Imaginations From the Other Side
Gamma Ray- Land of the Free
Deicide- Once Upon the Cross
Judas Priest- Sin After Sin
Manowar- Into Glory Ride
Metallica- Master of Puppets
Slayer- Reign in Blood
Eddie and the Cruisers Soundtrack
WASP- Crimsol Idol
Emperor- Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk
Virgin Steele- Invictus
John Cougar Mellencamp- American Fool
Bruce Springsteen- Born to Run
Grave Digger- Tunes of War

this will probably change in like 3 minuntes.

I can not stand Springsteen, but I absolutely love that Eddie and the Cruiser Soundtrack [which is actually John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band ]  thumb  Funny thing, is that album is a Springsteen-esque type of thing and I like it.  Especially like the tune Seasons In Hell, when in the movie Eddie was trying to take the band in a new direction.  Haven't seen that flick in years and years, and I can still hear the bass player telling Eddie in opposition of the direction he was taking the band in... "But Eddie, we're just a couple of guys from Jersey"

The Eddie And The Cruisers soundtrack is freakin' awesome.  I haven't listened to that in quite a while, but I think those are some really fantastic songs on there.

YES!!!  Great to see some Eddie and the Cruisers fans here.

I remember my babysitter showing the movie to me circa 1985 or so and I loved it from start to finish.  That's one of the few tapes I ever wore out, both video and audio.  I never made the connection at the time that it was so similar to Springsteen, but certainly can hear it now.

You can find the DVD around for super cheap.

I would avoid the sequel though.
