New Sabbath (Heaven & Hell) Title and release date

I found it on the net so it MUST be true  :
The reunion cannot tour under the name Black Sabbath, or BLACK SABBATH WITH DIO, due to the fact that the copyright of the name is the property of OZZY OSBOURNE and his wife/manager Sharon Osbourne.

So maybe Tony owns the name by Sharon owns the copyright??

Who knows?  It's still Black Sabbath to me.  I file the Heaven & Hell stuff under Sabbath so it doesn't matter to me.

I'm sure this will be excellent.  I like the song titles.  Definitely inspires some curiosity.

Billie Joe said the new Green Day would be more power pop than punk rock.  I thought the last album strayed pretty far out but not ina a pop direction so, power pop sounds even more scary.  Will wait for the Release report.

I could have sworn I read that part of the deal of when Ozzy did the Reunion with Black Sabbath is he got ownership of the band name. 

I thought the same thing.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to the album. Not the fucking green day album.

Maybe Tony is taking the piss outta Ozzy by more or less saying it's his decision, not Ozzy/Sharon's...

Tony owns it...he's not using it because they decided that if they called it BLACK SABBATH, people would want to hear "Paranoid" and "Iron Man", etc and the band wanted to focus on Dio-era material only...makes sense.

I totally applaud Tony if he truly has that much integrity, because he certainly is losing a lot of money by not releasing this under the Black Sabbath name. Funnily enough, I met a buddy of mine at the Priest / Heaven & Hell concert and he thought Heaven & Hell were a Sabbath cover band with Dio on vocals, he didn't even recognize Tony and Geezer!!!

Indeed, but it just shows that some people don't realize it's the real deal, can't say I blame them...
It's too little too late for Tony to rewrite Sabbath's history and erase the legacy he left with so many different vocalists since Ozzy left the building! Something smells fishy...
