You know, I hadn't heard these albums in quite some time.  Have them both on cassette from back in the day but for some reason when the reissues (first batch in '95) came out I never bothered to grab them.  Then of course the '02 versions were the re-recordings of bass/drums.  A few days ago I just had to hear them again.  Figuring they couldn't be all THAT bad and knowing the originals are long gone I figured for $10 each I'd snag 'em from Amazon.
Well I just finished listening to DOAM...I don't know what it is exactly but after the really awkward drum roll at the beginning of Believer ....

man am I kicking myself for not grabbing the originals when I had the chance. banghead

I REFUSE to have anything to do with this series of re-recordings. I got the whole remastered series of the early OZZY catalog that was released in 1995.  But Ozzy, and especially Sharron can kiss my moon before I will ever get these.  I won't even download them.   Up To Something

You can get the reissues from 1995 that are the originals remastered for cheap, still:

Just make sure they are the 1995 ones...

You can find the 95 remasters around here at most any used CD store for $5 a piece.  I remember hearing the screwed editions and they sounded like garbage.  Like it or not, you can't reproduce those production values, especially when it comes to the drums.  Completely different feel.

I agree 100% with V  YES

Shame on Ozzy for trying to erase historical performances in the name of greed!  eviltongue Rant

I might need to purchase that book next time I do an order on Amazon.  I have a ton of books the author has done already.
