Any heard of this group or the album they just put out?? Read this I found on the Net, it might interest Mosh and Release:
Black Country Communion is true supergroup. The band's frontman and bass guitarist Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Trapeze), master blues-rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa, powerhouse drummer Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin, Foreigner) and keyboardist Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Billy Idol, Alice Cooper). Named after the industrial area in Britain where both Hughes and Bonham were born and raised, Black Country Communion began rehearsing and recording tracks written by both Hughes and Bonamassa at Shangri-La Studios in early 2010.
All songs are sung by Hughes, with the exception of Song Of Yesterday and The Revolution In Me, which are both sung by Bonamassa. The two singers share vocals on Sista Jane and Too Late For The Sun. Also included is a new version of Medusa, the rock classic Hughes originally recorded with his first band, Trapeze."

Man, I
want
to like it...... but I don't. I'm not a real big fan of Glenn's singing and Joe isn't pulling off what he does best IMO. I've only given it a few listens so that might change eventually...... but as of now, I'll just stick with Joe's solo stuff (but unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with his last one).

It is AWFUL!!! Joe Bonamassa should be ashamed of himself, wasting his time and talent on this garbage. Brilliant young blues guitarists continue to shoot themselves (and their careers) in the foot by going away from their musical roots and strengths (think Jonny Lang and Kenny Wayne Shepherd). Shepherd was able to rescue his career for the most part by turning back to his roots and creating one of the best documentaries about blues music that I've ever seen. Jonny Lang's career continues to suffer from his misstep. Hopefully, Joe comes to his senses and dumps this project before it hurts his career,,,,,man he is right on the verge of becoming a superstar.

First week of release this album was #54 on the billboard charts so this project may have just gotten harder to leave as a one off.

I had another song pop up on shuffle this weekend. Man, I really, REALLY don't like Glenn's voice. I never listened to his other stuff so this was really the first time I'd heard him sing. And the stuff Joe was playing...... was so...... un-Joe like.

I liked Glenn's vocals when he was in Trapeze but nothing he's been involved with since.

I think Glen is a great singer, and on paper this looks cool...but the samples I've heard haven't done much for me...
