The set Lamb of God unleashes at the Download Festival on the Walk With Me In Hell DVD is unreal. Talk about bloodthirsty. No wonder this band has a reputation for being an outstanding live act. The intensity and brutality is ridiculous.

The setlist is awesome: 'Laid to Rest', 'Again We Rise', 'Walk With Me In Hell', 'Pathetic', 'Now You've Got Something To Die For', 'Blacken the Cursed Sun', 'Redneck', and 'Black Label'.

Great players and fantastic entertainers. shred

Anyone own this DVD / watched the performance?

Yea, excellent performance.  That whole DVD is great..... along with their others.  I'm not quite sure why this band gets shit on so much.  They're obviously talented as hell, write pretty intense songs and they worked their asses off to get where they are.  I don't have a problem if people don't like the band but man, you don't have to look too hard to see that they're the real deal.

No kidding. And like you say, if someone dislikes the music, fine, but the complaints are usually completely unreasonable.

I'm really interested in seeing that DVD.  I think LoG are an amazing band, really.  Especially live.  It's funny how alot of people who I'd have thought would appreciate this band, have a prejudice against them....probably the whole being lumped into the "metalcore" scene thing.  But those LoG guys are all old-school guys who love old speed/thrash metal, they really grew up on that stuff and started out doing that.  I dunno, I don't think being "metalcore" is automatically a negative, as long as you're actually really good at it and have something to offer.  Perhaps a huge majority of that scene does not, but LoG sure does (in my opinion, at least.)

Nice guys, too.  Some hard partiers at times but fairly down to earth and smart.

Yeah, it's a shame a band gets tagged as something and so many just accept the misjudgement as fact. Not saying LoG is every metalhead's thing, but so many more "underground warriors" would dig the group is they just let go of prejudice.
