Gotta love the original german cover with the burning Gibson flying V's, I never understood why they changed the cover a year later for the north american release... Anyhow, this was my introduction to ACCEPT, and I still remember vividly the first time I heard the opening intro, I really had to take a second glance at the turntable as it sure caught me by surprise! Then, Fast As A Shark came blasting out of the speakers, and at the time, it certainly re-defined new boundaries in speed and heaviness. Udo's voice sounded so over the top but also quite refreshing and original. What really made me an Accept fan for the long run was Wolf Hoffmann's awe-inspiring guitar playing, the guy created some of the best metal riffs of all time and blessed us with some of the most memorable and classy metal solos. The title track, Neon Nights and Princess Of The Dawn are perfect examples of that. After all these years I just can't help myself and feel compelled to revisit this Teutonic Metal classic more often than most!

Yep, probably my favorite studio album from them-- lots of classics and buried classics on that album.

For some reason I didn't get around to this album until much later on, but I'm just thankful that I did.

What really made me an Accept fan for the long run was Wolf Hoffmann's awe-inspiring guitar playing, the guy created some of the best metal riffs of all time and blessed us with some of the most memorable and classy metal solos.

That's the biggest reason why I love this band so much.  Wolf is simply one of the most tasteful and classy players ever IMO.  He played for the song and not for his ego.  I love that.  Add to that some GREAT songs and Udo's unmistakable voice and you have one of the best bands of al time.  I love this album but over time, I think I'd give the nod to Balls To The Wall as my overall favorite.  There are a handful of songs on this one though that are easily my favorite things they ever did (Fast As A Shark, Restless And Wild, Neon Nights & Princess Of The Dawn). 

Great album, great band, great guitarist.  Accept rule.

Great album, but I'd have to say Breaker and the debut are my faves. Don't know what happened to I'm a Rebel though, what a stinker it was.

But yeah, great album.

Fantastic album!  This was my first Accept album, bought solely because I loved Rage's cover of Fast As A Shark.  It has become one of my favorite songs ever.  I'd heard the song Balls to the Wall before but popping this in, Udo's vocals were so over the top awesome, I couldn't help but love it!  Pure metal.
