- built in drum pads/300+ pre-programmed patterns
- built in amp simulators for guitar/bass
- 64 virtual tracks
- up to 1gig memory card support
- USB for getting things to/from PC

I can finally begin to lay down my own ideas...woot!!

Thanks man...I've heard some things recorded on one and, without mixing/mastering in place, it sounded like very good demo/decent indie label quality...I would not be ashamed to release something independently recorded entirely on this machine...

I just looked at the specs on that and it looks pretty cool.  Nice price too!  I was going to ask why you went with that over a computer-based system but the portability of this makes a lot more sense.  Plus, everything you need is there.  That should be a lot of fun.

Yeah, I specifically did not get a comp based system for that reason...and to not tie up the comp and run into potential comp problems...

So far so good...tracked 2 of my riff ideas over last weekend...programmed the drums & used onboard guitar effects...sounds good, IMO...now I just have to figure out how to go back and forth between drum parts that I program...

OK, I have nearly 10 minutes full of riff ideas for my guitarist...my plan is to, when the songs are done, record the drums (mixed off the PA) then have him come to my place and record all the guitars direct...only 3 to 4 songs are planned at this time...I'm keeping this project pretty low key...just gonna stick it out there myself 3 or 4 songs every 12-18 months...
