1. Cat Scratch Fever
2. Wang Dang Sweet Poontang
3. Death By Misadventure
4. Live It Up
5. Homebound
6. Workin' Hard, Playin' Hard
7. Sweet Sally
8. A Thousand Knives
9. Fist Fightin' Son Of A Gun
10. Out Of Control

I take you Metallus Maximusians  back to 1977.  I was 6 years old living in Fountain Valley, California on a street cul-de-sac.
I just got a new bike and I was ready to take the kick stand off of it because only cool 6 year olds had no kick stand on their bicycle.  lol roll

So, anyway, I have an older sister and one of her male friends lived at the end of the cul-de-sac...we lived at the beginning of the cul-de-sac.  His name was Kenny Hustle.  Gotta love that name.  beerbang

"Kenny, can you take the kick stand off my bike?"

"Sure little Jay, lets get some tools."  nana beerbang devilbang

So, Kenny has a turntable in his garage and coming from it was this sound that I certainly had not heard before as a 6 year old.

"Kenny, what's this song playing?"
"It's called Cat Scratch Fever.  The guy's name is Ted Nugent."
"Hey! This is pretty cool."
"Yes, tell your sis to go buy it for you."  thumb

There it is...my first real exposure to heavy rock.  I remember getting Double Live Gonzo (ANOTHER CLASSIC!!!) for X-Mas in 1980.  I had just turned 10 and I spun that record many many times.

A tr00 classic that paved my way to heavy metal at the tender age of 6, it could have been 7.  lol

Anyway, not a crap song in the lot.  I really do LOVE them all.  Maybe Sweet Sally is a weak link due to the lyrics, but I love Home Bound and Out Of Control.

Appreciate the Nuge.  beerbang

I love this album,,,,,I can't begin to explain how important Ted Nugent was to me when I was young.

This was not the first Nugent album I heard, but it is the first that I owned.

I like Free For All more but this one is good too.  I disagree with Ted on just about everything these days and he's such an arrogant douchbag but there's no denying the man can play.

He really is an arrogant jackass at times.  He really needs to learn tact (I could use a bit of that myself  lol ).

I think Ted has become a really excellent guitar player over the years. shred

But you can try.  beerbang

Oh yeah, Cat Scratch Fever, Home Bound, Out Of Control and Wang Dang Sweet Poontang get regular spins between face offs at my son's games.  thumb

Great album. Aside from musicians themselves, Ted does not seem to get the credit he deserves  shred
