Destruction's 1985 full length debut album was a killer slab of heavy thrash that was more mature sounding than their 1984 EP Sentence of Death. German Thrash always seemed more brutal to me that our (US) thrash.  Bands like Destruction, Kreator and Sodom leading the way for German Thrash. Great songs abound on this album with classics like Invincible Force, Death Trap, Tormentor, and Bestial Invasion to name a few.

Track Listing:

   1. Invincible Force
   2. Death Trap
   3. The Ritual
   4. Tormentor
   5. Bestial Invasion
   6. Thrash Attack
   7. Antichrist
   8. Black Death

This is their best full length. Great album.

Still I enjoy the EP more.  devilbang

This is Destruction album # 3 for me-- I prefer the EP and Eternal Devastation more, but that's also probably as I got those two first and didn't pick this up until 1988 when I was in Germany.

Great album for sure, though, and appreciated.

All Destruction is good ... some records better than others, of course (yes, and I even like THAT album). The first two (and the EP) are diehard classics, but I find myself listening to the new releases mostly these days.

Well, I rarely listen to it, but I don't think it's a bad record, to be honest.

Excellent release.

I'll take Invincible Force as my personal favorite.  _band
