Wasn't crazy about the vocals on the first spin, but I'm digging the singer quite a bit more already...
Totally digging the old school approach; where are these guys from anyway?

Best Heavy Metal album of 2008 you say? I will need a few more spins give my verdict on IRONSWORD
but for the time being, my #1 pure vintage Heavy Metal pick of 2008 still goes to GRAND MAGUS - Iron Will  Cool

It's not my favorite of the year, but it is a killer release!  I think I like it a hair more than Return of the Warrior, the songs just seem catchier.

Great year for "Epic" Metal- The new Battleroar, Ironsword, Manilla Road and Holy Martyr albums are all really good.

Yes best Epic Heavy Metal album of 2008, without a doubt.

The vocals are BARBARIC!  Intended to sound like that.

People keep telling me to get that GRAND MAGUS.....  from what I've heard it's pretty good.
