Probably some kind of experiment that happened in the sixties; perhaps similar to the Philadelphia experiment...

My wife recorded it, so I sat and watched it with her to keep her company.

It's interesting, but totally JJ. And I'm never going to forgive him for setting up Lost like there was a grand plan, and then totally copping out with a bullshit finale.

The problem with LOST is it should have been only 2 or 3 seasons at the most.

After the third season, JJA 'lost' the plot so to speak and was mostly clutching at straws it seems.
I'm guessing he never thought the show would get renewed for so many seasons; and he must have scratched his head more than once to keep some kind of storyline going... you can only throw so many curve balls to your audience.

The finale was such a downer.  sick

I did enjoy Lost for the most part though, and so I'll look for this new series as it becomes available on DVD / digital media.
