Active-duty US troops and veterans march on the White House.

Hey, I'm keeping it limited to this thread and my avatar  beerbang  I get that politics can be a touchy subject.

I will say this - Paul is the only actual republican and conservative running on that ticket right now.  Regardless, his platform transends bipartisan political limitations.  Sadly, people like him are forced to run on either a Democratic or Republican ticket if they are serious about making it to the White House.  When was that last time a Libertarian [party member] was elected, or given serious media attention?

This confrontation has been getting a lot of attention from the financial community lately so I thought I'd share here.

I can't watch the videos on my work computer, but I just thought I could say this here. What is up with the GOP candidates and their absurd "freedom at stake" stance? lol I'm sure there are people in countries lacking real freedoms that are just constantly mocking us for that.

I see what you mean DS on the one hand I suppose it might seem kind of silly.  If you're someone likes to keep to themselves and run with the status quo (no insult intended), then things like the NDAA and monetary policy wouldn't seem like such a big deal (neither of which are being addressed by 3 of the 4 current candidates by-the-way.

I don't think any politician standing up for freedom is being mocked by others outside of the United States of America for, say, defending the constitution though - certainly not by anyone of any level of intelligence.  Yeah, the usual morons will always be skulling about ... "I fuckin' hate the States man ... they think they're the best at everything ..."  To those people I always inform how great things like your constitution are.  I mean yeah, when it comes to trivial things like sports - I hate you guys too, hah - but when it comes to matters of substance such as freedom, I really think your founders got it right, and it's frustrating to see their fundamentals trampled on, or kept from the attention of the public ...

It's kind of like, if I had a buddy with a brand new nice Rolex watch.  The watch isn't mine, but I admire it.  All of a sudden he starts taking a hammer to the watch for no reason, and I'm like, "Dude, what the fuck are you doing?  That's a friggin' Rolex."

Anyhow ... just some thoughts.

I can certainly see your point. I just think it's an interesting choice of words. Unfortunately, you're going to have certain people of lesser intelligence (Jeff Dunham fans) that might not see it the same way as you and take it more literally. You know, the same people that still think Obama is Muslim.

I'll do you one better - I don't think it should matter whether or not he is a Muslim.

Yeah Thor, I don't get it either.  I guess being associated with a politician makes most of us feel like we're being withheld or something like that.  lol

Another attendance record was set by Dr. Ron Paul.  Between six and seven-thousand attend a rally at UCLA last night.  NO other candidate is pumping out numbers even close to these.
