Some recent threads on the BB have got me appreciating some bands I've never listened to before: Orchid and Undead Creep.

I'm always looking for good doom or death.

So... any lesser-known stuff you might recommend?

Have you listened to 40 Watt Sun yet? Doom with a glimmer of hope is the best way to describe it. Their debut The Inside Room is my album of the year.

As far as doom the new albums by Mournful Congregation & Esoteric are very good. Then on the death side I'm enjoying the new ones by Krisiun, Vader & Funerus.
