No kidding.  It was like the very first time I started posting on the interwebs.  I was hanging around a place called letsgokings.com.   That was like April of 2002.  Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE hockey and stuff.  But, there was just something missing in my life.  But, you know, I kept chugging along like the trooper that I am.  So, in the regular chat room at "LGK" I would always like to make a post about albums and bands, like "The Wargasm Appreciation Thread." And then, after like a day or two, there would be like 3 views and 0 replies.  And then I would reply with, C'Mon!  Some people HAVE to like Wargasm.  I mean, it's hockey for Christ sakes!  Hockey and Wargasm go together like macaroni and cheese....they were made for each other!  But, then finally someone would reply with...hey!  Metal_Queen!  Take your faggoty ass metal music elsewhere.  We listen to better music around here!  You're just a metal fag trolling around here.  So, I thought, well, maybe it's time to take my metal elsewhere.  So, I gots on the Yahoos, and typed up 'Heavy Metal Message Board" and out popped up stuff like Satan Stole My Teddy Bear, Metalshop, Metal-Rules, and Bravewords.  So, I started hanging around on all four of those message boards.  I was so happy and stuff because there were actually OTHER PEOPLE listened to heavy metal, just like me.  angel  So, as I was hanging around on those places, I really started to not like Satan Stole My Teddybear because they were so negative about everything.  Everyone was a fucking critic on that board.  And then I got flamed for asking about Rhapsody...because back then they were actually pretty good.  So, I left.  And then Metalshop was so barren it wasn't even worth going to anymore.  And then I really didn't care for Metal-Rules so I finally started to hang around this place called Bravewords.  And then, it was like fate, it was like a marriage, I fell in love with these three dudes.  They were always posting about topics and to each other.  It was like, I have found the light!  And these three guys totally fed off of each other.  They were like a machine.  If I remember correctly, their names were "Venom," "Moshdrum69," and "Mister Pink Bunny."  And at that time, they really were the only guys that would make me laugh.  They liked the stuff that I liked!  I was thinking, you gotta be kidding me.  They like Realm?  They like Destruction?  They like Sodom?  And then, the Moshdrum69 guy, he posted a thread about a band that I love called Tankard, and I think I orgasmed right there in my pants.   lustslow  NO WAY! Someone else likes Tankard?!?!? Get the fuck outta here.  And then the Venom guy mentioned he loves Tanakrd too.  I cried with delight!  Now, these guys fucking rule!!  And then, I gathered enough courage to actually meet all these people that I met on this Braveboard place in Atlanta for this whacky festival called ProgPower.  And I fell in love with everyone that I met there.  I know it sounds crazy, but it's almost like we are a long lost family and we met for a reunion.  That weekend in 2006 was way killer!  But, I know I could keep going on and on and on about my new group of friends, but I will totally keep it short because I hate it too when people make totally long blogs and you know you're not going to read it anyway because it just wastes your time because these idiots on the internet can't make a decent sentence to save their fucking lives but I totally get where you are coming from.  I also hate it when these assholes make these huge run-on sentences and you totally do not know where they are coming from, and then they don't even have the decency to start a new paragraph when they change the topic on a complete whim.  I just don't know what they are even talking about.
awwww so sweet lustslow lustslow

Great post Jason  cheers

I totally remember The Metal Shop and SSMTB boards among a few others.
Lots of good memories from the Braveboard humble beginnings... In retrospect, I really didn't know what I was getting into at the time.  hammerhead
It was especially funny to have Adrian phone me every time the board was down!  lol

You really invited the vampire in the house - so to speak - when you sent me that free subscription to BW&BK magazine.  diablotin

And you know what's funny?  I didn't mean for it to be a sentimental post.   lol

You mentioned hating long blogs, so I went for it.  I also hate it when people have no paragraph skills.  roll roll roll

I meant to be all sarcastic, and it totally doesn't do that at all.

One more thing.  Everything in that post is 100% true.  No BS.  All genuine.  Buck Teeth

I actually went back to "LGK" about a year ago and started to post my tickets for sale in their forum.  Many have left.  There are a few who have been there the whole time.

Didn't sell ONE game at that site because those people want my $130 tickets for $40.  "Metal_King, I'll give you $40.  Will you take that?"   moon

I love a good long post, I just hate it when folks have some lame convo in a chat room or something and then paste it into a forum.  Probably because I never know the folks involved, but as soon as I see one I skip it.  Always.

Did the phone ring yesterday?

Almost 3 years since his passing & when my phone rings I still think it's going to be him.  Sad
