Sacramento's Tesla had their debut album come out in late 1986, but it was not until the single of Modern Day Cowboy was released in the Spring of 1987 that the album started to take off. I remember when Atlanta's 96 ROCK radio station would play the hell out of that song especially at night.  I bought the album based on the single and loved the album.  It was a good dose of hard rock, not the hair band/metal that was so popular at the time but good old fashioned hard rock.

Track listing

   1. EZ Come EZ Go - 3:32
   2. Cumin' Atcha Live - 4:25
   3. Gettin' Better - 3:20
   4. 2 Late 4 Love - 3:50
   5. Rock Me To The Top - 3:38
   6. We're No Good Together - 5:15
   7. Modern Day Cowboy - 5:19
   8. Changes - 5:02
   9. Little Suzi - 4:55
  10. Love Me - 4:15
  11. Cover Queen - 4:32
  12. Before My Eyes - 5:25

Not a fan of Bust a Nut??  I love that later day album too!  Great Radio Controversy has it's moments but Love Song RUINS it....Heaven's Trail (No Way Out) is one Killer Song though!!!!!!!

TO ME Tesla is a band that just put out one consistent album after another except for that crap 5 Man Acoustical Jam.  That is the only one I don;t like, mostly because i HATED that damn Signs song they remade.  grindteeth

Only Tesla album I really dug; I remember seeing them open for Alice Cooper on this tour.

The lights went out and I heard all this feedback and we saw these guys wandering around the stage in the dark-- I remember seeing someone smoking a cigarette and someone else messing with the guitar cords-- we were right up front and thought it was the roadies finishing setting up, but then they launched into "Cumin' Atcha Live" and it was them...

The tunes I heard on the radio never caught my fancy.  Don't care for the vocals either.
