From the 1980's talk show The Hot Seat;

Quote
KNAC's Thrasher faces off with The Hot Seat's Wally George on the subject of heavy metal music.

Wally really harps on alleged "Satanic messages" and "backward masking".

 lol roll lol

Wally was an absolute staple in So. Cal. in the early to mid 80s.  Wally was a big time right wing liberal and later on in his career did confess that his show was acted out.  His show was taped in Anaheim.

One of my high school teachers Bruce Gevirtzman was on Wally's show and Bruce is a "left wing" liberal.  So, Mr. G admitted to us that the show was a put on and off camera Wally is a nice guy.

FYI, Wally passed away a while ago and his daughter is Rebecca De Mornay.

And yes Brian, on TV Wally was a nut job....but to get ratings...of course.  lol

And for the record, Mr. G was cool.

We had an epic poem assignment when I was a sophomore and had to explain it, and break it down orally in front of the class and basically tell the class what it meant.

He let me do Rime Of The Ancient Mariner.  nana
