Haha, I'm so glad I don't have to do that again.  It was fun for about 5 minutes.

I don't have nearly the number of CDs that you do, FF, and I found the whole process tedious when I first did it in '04, and then again in '09 when I switched computers.

The second time, I probably loaded in about 200 over the first week or so, and then just added CDs as the urge struck.  I'm still adding stuff here and there, almost on a weekly basis.

Last year, Lynneaus bought me a 160 gb I-Pod, and I bought myself a new laptop. So, I had to go through this process once again. I had ripped about 70 gigs to the computer, but, erased them after I put them on the Birdpod, to save room. A short while later, I discovered that I had a faulty I-Pod sick

So, Now, I have all of my music(130 gb or so) saved on my laptop and my EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE lol

got our new 2T external drive in the mail today. beerbang

just finished ripping the Amon Amarth catalog,so far this is not as tedious as i was expecting.probably cause i don't rip more than 10-15 cd's at a time since i'm busy with the kids most of the time. lol

Very slowly.

I've been working on in since sometime in October and have loaded a little over 2800.
I estimate I have 3-400 to go...

Then did not someone on the BB claim to have a 7K+ collection?

Who was that?

I mean, with that amount, that collection would NEED its own room.  lol
