If everything goes according to plan I will be moving there next year. I'll be downtown too, so I think it's a good idea to maybe develop relationships with you all so I have some friends when I get there. I've met a few of you before of course but we've never really been close.
Also, if you were just moving there where would you suggest looking for work? In the short term I'd probably just get whatever I could while applying for good jobs.
That's all I can think of at the moment, but this board is slow enough that this thread should last until then.

Cool, do you like to go to shows, baseball games or whatever?
I'm coming up for a few days over (american) thanksgiving and possibly for Christmas as well. Mostly it's a big pain though because my girlfriend has to apply to sponsor me, so I can get temporary residency. That lasts one year then we will get married and I can apply for citizenship. Lots of hoops to jump through but she's worth it.

I go to shows now and again for sure! Baseball will be done by then around here though...
maybe we can drag Hellboy and Impelliteri Fan out as well! They are a bit further west though...
Sounds like a big move for you! Pretty exciting stuff!

Dude you have no idea. We were originally together 11 years ago and it's been a roller coaster since, but we've finally each settled down enough to build a life together. I've wanted to move up there for a long time, so it's very exciting!
And I definitely need to meet Hellboy, along with everyone else.

Yes, I'm going to be better about that! Applied for my passport card today.
Do you live in Toronto Hellboy? For some reason I thought you were in Ottawa?

Yup, in one of those massive apartment buildings. I remember being amazed how many apartment buildings there are up there.
When we were together before she lived in St. Catharines, so I spent a lot more time there than I have in Toronto.
