Good wireless cards?

I hate wireless Internet. I hate it because I have a desktop. Usually that doesn't matter because my desktop is usually hooked up to the router via an ethernet cable. In my new living situation, this is not possible. The only place to put my desk and computer are in a room separate from the room with the router and modem. So I had to get a wireless card. I got one from some company called Zoom (it's a USB Wireless-N) and, even though the signal it picks up is kind of weak, the speed is nothing short of unacceptable. I did a speed test and the download speed is less than half a MB a second. Fuck that. I'm tempted to just say fuck it and cram the desktop into this other room because super slow Internet bugs me about as much as a skipping CD on maximum volume.

Anyone know of any really good wireless cards? Our router is only 2 rooms over from my desktop.

Lemmy is omnipresent. 

And I found a good wireless card. USB wireless cards = lame. PCI is the only way. Signal strength = excellent.
