I'm listening to From This Day Forward* and just wondered if anyone else here enjoys the rhythmic stylings of Obliveon.  With so many bands in the Canadian scene emulating their sound, they were originators in the scene; that's for sure. Cool stuff!

*Came accross this old burned copy while I was cleaning up my office (well, not really an office, but a room in my house where I do lots of computing and... well, computer games and stuff.)  What's interesting about this particular copy is that Hellboy himself made this disc for me during my brief stay in Toronto about seven (?) years ago.  Thanks again Hugues!

I'm only familiar with Cybervoid, but yes, definitely some cool stuff going on-- good thrash.

Nemesis is definitely they peak.after that they added a little too much Pantera to their formula in order to get more popular, but,on Nemesis they definitely had something special

think of stuff like Watchtower and Anacrusis but with way more hooks.

I don't own anything from the, but I really like them.  I finally got to see them live at the 25 Ans de Métal Québecois fest a few years ago.  Fucking ruled!!!!

That's likely my favorite of theirs.  That one's got some great tracks on it for playing in the car!

I don't think they've done a show after that, but I could be wrong.

I only have From This Day Forward otherwise.  It's "ok"...

I think I need to  track down Nemesis and Cybervoid.

This was a cool band.  Not sure why they never got more exposure.  They were always featured in Metal Forces magazine and got a lot of interest through there but it never went any further.  Nemesis is great but I think I like Carnivore Mothermouth the best.

From This Day Forward was basically a self-produced demo, quite awesome musically and technically for the time it came out. devilbang
