As soon as True Blood is over I'm whacking my cable way back.  I'm going to look into hooking my computer (in bedroom) into my TV (in living room) and see about the possibility of cutting out cable entirely.

F cable.  F $140 cable/internet bills.

ok they are done.  HD programming on the TVs in the den and our bedroom and standard definition in the other 3 bedrooms.  I love the fact you can record on the HD DVR in the den but you can view the recorded shows on ANY other TV in the house....SWEET!!

I really want to switch but dishes don't work too well in apartment complexes and FIOS isn't available here yet.

Let me know how the quality of your service ends up.  I don't know if it's just something about the location around here, but, generally, DirecTV quality is absolute shit around here.  Dish Network seems to be the way to go around here unless you like dropping your signal every time it rains or snows or if there is lightning within about 10 miles.

I haven't really heard those complaints except around this area.  VERY STRANGE!!

my brother's had Dish Network for 12 years and LOVES them.  They just didn;t have some of the channels we wanted and was $20 more a month than DirecTv
