When he bought the fridge, he did remember that the delivery guys had to take of the doors. 

Well, the first 2 days have gone exactly according to what I thought they would have gone.

He called the phone company to bitch at them because they haven't put his phone line in.
He bitched at me because I only ordered 1 DirecTV receiver and not 2 of them.
Christine asked him if he could watch the boys Saturday night.  He said no. 

Good times had by all!

He's becoming my 3rd child....and we're only 4 days in.

Well, the F-I-L had the flu on Friday and he has not eaten since then. 

He is starting to deteriorate in front of all of us.  He can barely walk, and he's not eating. 

We all now have to check up on him every hour or two and he now physically looks like a Mengele victim.   

He has dwindled down to under 130 pounds and his jaw and chests have looked like they have caved in.  It's nasty.

We night have to send him to the hospital pretty soon here.  He hasn't eaten a solid meal in over a week.

When I got home yesterday around 2:30 and checked up on him, his speech was slurred.  I couldn't understand him at all.
Then my wife got home and gave him an ultimatum:

1) Get in the fucking car and we will drive you to your hospital of choice.
2) We will call 911.

We called 911.

He is now in ICU and the doctors said pneumonia.  Which makes sense to me now.  The flu just turned into pneumonia.  He sitting in a bedroom that was probably 80 degrees.  So, his body was basically a petri dish in the heat infested/no air circulation of a bedroom.

Yes Zeke, the doctors said he is septic.  There is no urine or fecal matter.  So, he's not getting rid of his waste.

My wife is the power of attorney, so all the legalwork/paperwork has been covered.  The F-I-L appointed me as the first alternate, but Christine is much better at the emotional decisions.  My brother-in-law saw him at the hospital yesterday and told me not to go.  He's been unconscious for 48 hours now and he says he looks damn near 90 (he'll be 71 next month).

I will go visit him tomorrow during father;s day.  But, it looks like things have turned for the worse.
