After fending off rumour last night, it's finally been confirmed. As I just found out. He passed away this morning.

RIP Mr. Dio!
When I worked at Jaxx Dio played there & I was assigned the cushy job of picking him & his entourage up from his hotel. Certainly one of the kindest most gracious gentlemen I've ever met but he didn't screw around either, he brought along his own sound system cause he wanted it to sound right.
I was playing Trouble's Plastic Green Head but now I'm going to play Black Sabbath's Heaven & Hell in his honor. May you hear it in Vahalla!
BTW this should be pinned to the top.

I mean, I know he had the stomach ccancer, but it's still a shock.
I am so sad right now, I never got the chance to see him live.
God bless you Ronnie, and thank you so much for your contribution in my life. You are one of metal's heroes.
And I'm not joking here...just last hour when I took my older son Matthew to go grab a pizza, he just said to me..."Dad, I think my favorite song that you listen to is Heaven and Hell."
The metalheads up in heaven have just received their new King.

This is such a sad day. I became a fan of Ronnie's the first time I heard his voice, nearly 30 years ago. It's hard to grip the fact that he really is gone. Just...damn...

I know he left dozens of albums but it is killing me to know that we will never hear that voice again.
Dio is the reason I got into metal.
