Do they put on a decent show? Decent enough to drive 45 minutes to the show, on a Monday night?

45 minutes to hear garbage for In Sorti Diabolame and Dork Cult Armageddon? No way.
I've seen them live a few times and all were disappointing. The fact that Shagrath likes to recite poetry in between songs aside, the real problem was their sound. I saw them once in Toronto and twice in Buffalo and all three times they sounded muddy as hell, or like they were underwater. I'd seen other concerts at all the venues and it definitely wasn't the venues.

I've seen them twice and I thought they were pretty cool both times. Once in a decent sized club and the sound was excellent. The other was on Ozzfest on the main stage. for that one the sound wasn't that great but that's to be expected in an arena that size. At neither show did Shagrath recite poetry!
If you're a fan, I'd definitely go just to see them. A highlight for me was seeing Nick Barker behind the kit playing so effortlessly but he's gone now so that's not a factor. The only thing I didn't really like (in the club) was that they had a light rig
facing
the crowd from the stage so you were blinded throughout the show.
Neither time was anywhere near as bad as HMB says. But then again, i still consider myself a fan. DCA is easily my favorite from them.

You don't count cause you have Jaxx!
And man, when I saw them in Toronto he was reciting poetry and Dave (from Rammer) and I wanted to lob beer cans at him. It was pretty awesome when they played stuff from Spiritual Black Dimensions and Enthrone Darkness Triumphant though. But man, the sound was so fuckin' awful that if you didn't know the songs pretty well, you had no idea what the hell they were playing.

It wasn't at Jaxx but that place has a much better reputation than it deserves. Really. It's an old movie theater, the stage is too low (from the back all you see is the band members heads), the sound can be great
if
the sound guy knows what he's doing, if not, it can be
awful
. It's in a strip mall, the bathrooms are a disaster...... blah, blah, blah. It's funny, I go to other clubs in different parts of the country and I'm amazed at how cool those are! Jaxx gets good shows but even that is declining now with Baltimore getting the good ones. It's going to be interesting to see where that place goes in the next year or so.

The earlier in the week, the more days of being tired at work,,,,,I don't "catch up" on sleep until the following weekend,,,,,
