I've heard the name (along with Mahogany Rush) but I've never heard any of his music.

Great fucking album that I can't seem to find on CD, though I gave up years back. Someone hook me up!

I have his "double live" disc, Release. I'll see that you get a listen.

Thanks Claymore devilbang
I was starting to think I was the only Frank Marino fan around here...

To my knowledge, it was only released in Germany in 1998 on an obscure label called Black Rose Records
It was digitally remastered and it sounds awesome!

Reeeeally? Hmm. And so the quest begins anew...

Frank Marino is an amazing guitar player.  I have seen him several times back in the 70's and most recently a couple years back at Jaxx in Virginia when he played 2 .5 hours straight, no breaks, just music... awesome!  He used to play and headline big arenas back in the day.  I have all of his stuff.  If you have never heard him, do yourself a favor and check out some of his material [if you can get into rock that is].  He was ahead of his time, ad if you listen to him you will be able to tell.

Juggernaut is a very good album and probably his one and only attempt at commercial airplay.  The song “Strange Dreams” was actualy played on the radio a lot ba-ck in 1982 and was a very radio friendly tune.

For best album and certainly the most rockin’ my vote goes to 1981 - The Power of Rock & Roll.  There are simply some killer leads on this album.  Runner-up for best album goes to 1978's Live album.  I like very few Live albums, but this one is great and has the BEST cover of Johnny B. Goode BY FAR that I have ever heard.

Here’s his discograpy:

1972 Maxoom
1974 Child of the Novelty
1975 Strange Universe
1976 Mahogany Rush IV
1977 World Anthem
1978 Live
1979 Tales Of The Unexpected
1980 What's Next
1981 The Power of Rock & Roll
1982 Juggernaut
1987 Full Circle
1988 Double Live
1990 From The Hip
1997 Dragonfly-Best of Mahogany Rush
2000 Eye of the Storm
2003 RealLIVE!

Not sure exactly what you mean?  Do you mean albums that have the Mahagony Rush name on the covers?  If so, it's the live one from 1978.

My brother introduced me to Marino way back in the 70s and I still listen to Strange Universe (Tales of the Spanish Warrior and Strange Universe!! :m: ), Tales Of The Unexpected and What's Next, but I never owned and haven't heard Juggernaut other than the songs from it that are on Double Live.

Anyone who likes Hendrix should at least check out Strange Universe IMO.

I will check it out  beerbang
I'm on a Frank Marino hunt right now and it looks like some of his more obscure stuff is available directly from his website: http://www.mahoganyrush.com/order.htm
