Here's my first attempt at the Classic album of the day;
I dedicate this one to one of my childhood canadian guitar heroes, Frank Marino  shred

A truly underrated gem from 1982, Frank Marino had an unlikely radio hit on Chom 97.7 FM in his hometown of Montreal with first track Strange Dream; an hypnotizing song that made good use of mixing modern keyboards with Frank's trademark guitar sound and soulful vocals. Most of the rest of the album being a fusion of blues and hard rock inspired by seventies classic rock, except for the closing title track Juggernaut which saw Frank's blistering guitar work dwell into metal territory. Also I would like to mention that the production sounds timeless, which makes revisiting this album a pleasure every time!

1. Strange Dreams
2. Midnight Highway
3. Memories of a Hero
4. Free
5. Maybe It's Time
6. Ditch Queen
7. For Your Love
8. Juggernaut

I've heard the name (along with Mahogany Rush) but I've never heard any of his music.

ooops, just updated the CD cover...

I'm surprised a lot of the old timers are not familiar with any of Frank Marino's work  eek2

There's a remaster of Juggernaut available as an euro import, for those curious to hear audio clips of live versions of 'Strange Dreams' and 'Juggernaut' and some Mahogany Rush classics, here's a link to Frank's Double Live from 1988 on iTunes

Great fucking album that I can't seem to find on CD, though I gave up years back. Someone hook me up!

I have his "double live" disc, Release. I'll see that you get a listen.

Thanks Claymore devilbang
I was starting to think I was the only Frank Marino fan around here...

To my knowledge, it was only released in Germany in 1998 on an obscure label called Black Rose Records
It was digitally remastered and it sounds awesome!
