Impressive!

Savage Messiah is a new wave of thrash band out of London, and they have some obvious nods to 80s Megadeth. But don't write them off out of hand as just another retro band. This release is set apart from the pack by some high-quality songwriting with a great melodic sense and memorable, heavy-as-fuck riffing.

There's also more musical variety here than the norm, including some trad HM and USPM references. The band does a great job with varying tempos and dynamics throughout. In addition, the performances are tight, and Dan Silver's voice is perfect for this sort of metal.

At any rate, the full album is up for streaming at myspace.
