A car alarm right outside my window kept going off last night.  To make it worse, the battery must have been dying b/c the obnoxious bleating kept slowly getting out of tune.
Awful atonal noise, triggered whenever someone nearby either started a car or slammed a car door.   banghead

I never used to be fond of cats.  But my girlfriend's cat is the most adorable, funny, personable cat I've ever come across (to be fair, I haven't come across many) and has totally changed my opinion on cats.  Which is good because I'll be living with her shortly.

I am also totally sold on how low maintenance they are compared to dogs.  lol

She's a pretty calico cat, mostly white, with brown and block spots.  devilbang

It really depends on the cat.  I've gotten lucky with my cats.  My dilute female is just a little lover girl.  She's the best pet I've ever owned.  beerbang

Yep.

I've met some cool dogs in my time, but I've been around a LOT more that completely suck. Cats are 795 BILLION times better than dogs, imo.

Don't get me wrong, I still love dogs.  But cats sort of fill that role of simultaneously being an interactive pet and not a whole lot of work.   Which works for me.

Plus, no barking, destruction, walking, etc.

Our cats are declawed in the front.  We've gotten some flak from other cat owners, but with kids, it was kinda mandatory.
