They were just as bad or worse on some songs as they other hairbands.....and I hate to tell you, but the common factor in most hairbands is they had a great guitar player.
Gee, you think?
Warren DiMartini, Vito Bratta, George Lynch, Reb Beach etc.
I actually know more about hair metal than you think I do. I just don't particularly care for the music.

Oops, wrong thread.
Nothing to add here.
I have the first 3 studio releases on vinyl and the first 4 on CD. Zeke's been listening to them for the last few weeks and won't retun them. Nasty Nasty was my favorite album by them.

Wrathchild....wow. I remember my friend bought this. We were like.... "umm.... it could be good but I don't know, man............. " He was the only one of us with a job and THEE source of music for most of us so of course we talked him into it, it was his money!
I think we lasted 3 songs.
I remember when Dickinson was replaced by Bayley.
A guy told me, "Yeah, the got a guy from some British band to replace him-- the guy from Wrathchild."
I remember saying, "The guy with the big hair?"
Thank goodness(?) he was wrong.

Never heard Black n' Blue but I'm sure I'd like it. I've heard Hurricane but they and BnB are two bands I need some albums from.

Hurricane only had one good album, I would stick with Black 'n Blue, Without Love and Nasty Nasty by Black 'n Blue as far as the studio albums go, but also One Night Live is FANTASTIC!!!!!!

Slippery When Wet was the death of hairbands
SWW accelerated the downfall, to be sure, but the one album, the one fucking album, that was the genesis of all the truly shitty 80s cockrock...
Motley Crue - Theatre of Pain.
And I have never forgiven them for it.
From Shout at the Devil to that shit?!
