It's definitely louder and fuller-sounding with a touch more overall low end.

That said, it's nothing like the Abigail remaster that came out recently with the bonus DVD. That thing was completely souped up...even when compared to the older remastered version that came out at the same time as the version of Them that you speak of.

I've been meaning to get that but really only for the DVD, it sounds that different eh?

Well, it sounds "different" in the same way most remasters sound "different". It's by no means a remix, but it IS considerably more powerful...especially when compared to the original version.

Good to hear. It needs a boost in power, such a great album. I ordered the remaster since my Best Buy is to hit and miss

Agreed! It's got a lot more punch and feels warmer.
The Them remaster from years back cleaned it up but having both versions I'm not sure if it makes it any better. That album is thin as can be. The instrumental demo's tacked on sound better.
