What a way to start the fucking week.

This morning (or today), our principal is calling teachers into his conference room during their conference period.  He is announcing today that one of our assistant principals (He's 40 yrs. old) has been disgnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.  The man does not smoke.   The tumors are fortunately less than 1 cm. in diameter so they've diagnosed him early, which is a good thing.  But, I thought stage 4 is a BAD thing. 

He is a really good guy and good vibes are being sent his way.

His name is Mike and he is determined to win this battle in an E-mail sent by him to our principal.

He has been to 4 doctors and the treatment ranges from aggressive chemo to taking one pill a day.  What an option.

Stage 4 lung cancer means that the cancer is in both lungs OR it has metastized to another part of the body.

He should IMMEDIATELY start the most aggressive chemotherapy and radiation therapy he can get,,,,,and I do mean IMMEDIATELY.  The sooner he starts treatment, the better his chances, and yes a week can make a LOT of difference.

Yeah but I'm not going to worry anyone here about it till I've got some answers.  There are some serious possibilities.  They've ruled out most of the minor causes.  I'm hoping they don't find a thing.  Just wish me well.
