As flat out cruel as it sounds...it's unfortunately true.  He doesn't know the meaning of the term letting go and it's just affecting his franchise in a very negative way.
the team will never get better as long as Al Davis is in charge.

So funny how we all forget.  The last team in the AFC West to get to the big game was the Raiders in 2003 [just 6 years ago], yes we lost, but we made it.  3 Division titles back to back from 2000-2002.  No one in the AFC West has been to the big game in the new millennium.

The last AFC West team to do it other than the Raiders was the Broncos back to back 1998-1999.  The Chargers haven't been since 1995 and got whooped just as bad as the Raiders did in 2003.  The Chiefs... forget it.  Their fans talk so much crap and they haven't been to a Super Bowl since 1970, damn.... that's 39 friggin' years  eek2

The Raiders are struggling, but I am proud of this team, totally support Al Davis, and love what he has done throughout his ownership.  I have had the opportunity to watch the Raiders play in Super Bowls in 1977, 1981, 1984, and 2003.  Only one I didn't see was 1968 cause I was only 6.  There are plenty of teams who have never seen a SB.

That being said, my prediction for the Raiders season this year will be 10-6.

I mean 6-10.

If they beat each other off the field it might actually translate to some wins on the field...

...or not!  lol

I know... I know, but I just love the Raiders.  I am proud of their history and of course I want them to be on the winning track again, but at least I have seen them get to the big one, unlike some teams, Saints, Lions, etc.

I think in time they will get back.  Remember V, they went through some tough times after beating the Skins in the SB in the mid 80's.  They went through the Steve Buerline (sp) time, several other QB's before getting Gannon who brought them back to respect.  All teams go through this.

Green Bay was a total joke in the 70's and much of the 80's.  Teams go through tough times, but as a Raider fan it's hard to watch cause we're used to seeing our team win so much and to get into at lease one SB  a decade.  Patience my friend, they will get back there.

Chargers 28
Raiders 13

And I'm hoping LaDanian goes for something around 18-22 carries for 125 yds.  Watch him run for 57 yards.

I just heard the Lions are starting Stafford on opening day because of an injury to Culpepper's foot (he has stitches in a toe).  Poor bastard,,,,, lol

Alf, Denver will be lucky to win 3 games. Maybe their weak division will help them but their coach is a total douchebag. he has divided the locker room already and dwindled the talent pool. You have a guy with Cutlers arm you don't treat him that way? Fuckin' stupid, real bad moving firing Shannahan for this fool. I hope he gets fired quickly.

Inch, yes agree to disagree. as for your rankings, personally i think Manning JR will struggle this year. Those receivers are awful, same thing with Cutler. i think he has the talen to be top five but it's a team game and the Bears wideouts blow  eek

Denver play 4 games against Oak and KC. I can see them winning 3 of 4. They also play the Bengals and the Browns which are winnable games as well. All you need is one upset from the remaing 10 games and you are at 6 and 10.

I don't know if its the place and no I don't advocate anyone following my lead but I placed the following bets today:
Pats +10.5 over the Bills
SD Chargers +9 over Oakland
GB vs Chi Over 46.5
Viking +4.5 over the lions
Philly +1 over the Panthers

If Carson Palmer can return to form, the Bengals could be a decent team this year. I'm rooting for them in the AFC as I like what I've seen on hard Knocks. They will beat Denver  peace

The o line sucks which is what may hold them back somewhat. Missed most of hard knock due to my DVR going on the Fritz but I enjoyed what little I saw.

And Child please  Buck Teeth Denver beats Cincy
