I have been spinning this quite a bit lately.

I have been trying to come up with how best to describe their sound but have been struggling a wee bit. The only references on the net describe them as a mix of doom & stoner which frankly doesn't mean much to me.

The album is compromised of 2 long tracks one of the tracks being close to 17 mins and the other close to 23 mins. There is a bit of Sabbath influence in the guitar sound and some of the riffs. Maybe I am just imagining things but to me there seems to bit a bit of Pink Floyd influence in there as well. There is a mish mash of other influences that I can’t really spell out except that portions of the title track gives off a vibe similar to Green Carnation Light of Day, Day Of Darkness.

All this to say is the album is excellent and they are well worth checking out. Their http://www.myspace.com/fleshintostone page has edited sample of the album for anyone interested in finding out more.

Oh yeah! don’t confuse them with a black metal group with the same name..

I couldn't get the Myspace player to work tonight but I'll try back later.  Killer album cover though.
