I don't know if any of you have heard but the US is  fobbing part of a problem
its created to Bermuda and some other countries.  See link
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090611/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/us_guantanamo_uighur_detainees

Huge news here anyway.

Now I won't get into whether they should of been imprisoned or be allowed to stay in Bermuda in the first place or not the thing that really set me off is this line in the AP story
Bermuda Premier Ewart Brown said the men will be allowed to live in Bermuda, a British territory in the Atlantic, initially as refugees but they would be permitted to pursue citizenship and would have the right to work, travel and "potentially settle elsewhere."

I have been here 11 years and contributed socially and fiscally to Bermuda and I will NEVER be allowed to become a Citizen.

Apparently, the US is paying some tiny Pacific island nation $200,000,000 to take 17 Chinese people being held at Gitmo.

With $200,000,000, you could pay to keep Gitmo in operation for a long time,,,,, No

Sounds corrupt Alain.

The worst since Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory is that the local goverment did not have the authority to do this. London to say the least is not pleased.
Knowing our Premier there is more to it than meets the eye. He's not know for his compassion.
