He has found himself in a bit of a financial crunch, so, he sold some musical gear, including a vintage Fender twin reverb amp.  He sold it for $1200 and shipped it off via UPS.

A week later, the package is returned to him.  The buyer refused delivery of the package because it was severely damaged while in transit.

Mike opened the package to find the amp damaged beyond belief.  The cabinet is literally broken into 4 pieces, only 1 tube remained unbroken, and the magnets were broken right off the speakers.

Now,,,,,as if all that's not bad enough,,,,,since he is having financial issues, he shipped without insurance,,,,, cryingeyesout

Oh man......  Sad
Normally, I would point and laugh and call him a dumbass for not insuring the package,,,,,but I know he's in real financial need so I hesitate to poke to much fun at him,,,,,

What I find unbelievable is the damage that happened!

How the hell does an amp get destroyed like that?
Those things are built to take a fall down a flight of stairs.  It mush have fallen out of the open cargo door on the plane and onto the tarmac below.  It must have fallen at least 10 feet do do that kinda damage.

That's unbelievable.

Did he package it or did he have the idiots at UPS package it?

I ask because when I moved to New York, I had a few things from back home shipped via UPS. One of them was my TV. When I got my TV it looked like it had been on a soccer field. And there was no fuckin' support in the box! It was a box inside a box inside another box. No foam, no air cushions, nothing! Fuck UPS. I still refuse to use them.

he is damn lucky but given the extent of damages, UPS can;t say that is normal shipping "wear & tear"
