Diary of a Madman is the record that made me a metal fan.

It sounded so heavy in its day.

Still love it.

A CLASSIC heavy metal album, and ... it doesn't have 'Crazy Train' on it. I mean, seriously. This is one song I never need to hear again. I could bitch about it being horrifically overplayed, but I won't. Rant

I guess Diary of a Madman edges out Blizzard of Ozz on my Ozzy list. My favourite, though, is Bark at the Moon, hands down.

Here's another flamethrower: I prefer Jake to Randy, no disrespect intended. meltingpot

Opinions are allowed.

Jake was great.  Horribly misused, but great.  I love Bark at the Moon -- and that tour was the first one I ever plunked down my high-school part-time job cash for.  Um... or maybe my mom gave me the money.  Can't remember.

Uh.  Hey, I was young!   lol

Anyway.

I prefer Rhoads, but Jake was magnificent.

Great classic pick!  devilbang

This along with Mob Rules; really played it's role in turning me into a serious metalhead in my formative years.
Too bad Ozzy had to ruin his legacy by re-recording the bass and drum tracks for the latest remaster (as he did for Blizzard of Ozz)  banghead
Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake are the unsung heroes of the first two Ozzy releases and although they play on Diary Of A Madman; the band shot inside the album sleeve had Rudy Sarzo and Tommy Aldridge in the band lineup instead of them.

Poor guys they truly got boff

While Jake E. Lee is a wonderful guitar player and you are entitled to your opinion, he was NEVER the talent of Randy

Not a big fan of Ozzy on his own but this album is good.  Over The Mountain is great but the rest of it doesn't quite match up.  S.A.T.O., Believer and Little Dolls are all cool though.

In any case, I prefer Blizzard of Ozz to all else with the exception of The Ultimate Sin, which I never owned.  No More Tears is actually my second favorite among the rest.  Maybe it's because I bought it first but I think it's a really solid album anyway.
