North Dakota-- Roughrider Country

Montana is always billed as "Big Sky Country".  While I don't dispute that, ND is also "Big Sky Country".

The greenest I've ever seen SW ND...

Shots like this remind me how badly I want to see that part of the country someday.

Picks like those make me miss living in a rural area.  The first one reminds me of home, except not as flat.

For a year I lived in Rapid City, South Dakota, and none of these pictures surprise me.  Fuck I hated it there.   Doh!

Of course the southern twin of the Dakotas is far inferior, despite having, you know, 'the faces.'

Well, it's fitting that Spring, Summer, and Fall lasted all of 3 months this year.  Total.

Let's see, the Red River flooded in the east in the spring.

Now the Missouri in the central part and the Little Missouri in the western corner are flooding.

And the highs are in the 50's in the SW corner of the state.

Going back in 3 weeks.

Release, I'll keep you posted.
