Pick better (re: more intelligent) sides.
You lost this battle dude, just let it go.

I lost? Perhaps you're even more clued-out than he is. You should "let go" of any thought to living life as a moderately-intelligent organism, Chrissy.

Another fool owned.

A lot of people describe DF as generic, yet I've never really heard a band that sounds just like them.  Power Quest maybe, but that's a stretch.

I still dig the new album, much better than IR.   devilbang

To suggest Dragonforce is generic (in a power-metal-relative sense, of course) is nonsense.

Cellador was the first band (at least to get signed) to jump onto the Dragonforce bandwagon of "extreme power metal", I think. And it's funny: In ways I prefer that group. But this opinion can change from day to day.

Good call, I totally forgot about Cellador.  I like them as well, but really don't care for their singer too much.  Still a very talented band.  Not many Euro power bands from the US that's for sure.

I think the singer sounds very similar to Michael Kiske. Not a bad thing in my books. But taste is taste.

BTW, it's an opinion of mine, don't get so bent out of shape about it.  It doesn't matter at the end of the day.

I'm the opposite, I have no clue why a generic power metal band like them got popular.

No one is fast as they are in the genre. (to my knowledge anyway)
No one uses the blast beats in the genre. (to my knowledge anyway)
No one is as cheesy as they are in the genre, (Rhapsody comes close, and I love those guys too.)  lol
Their solos are just way over the top.
I believe they started to get real big during Ozzfest.
Ozzfest starts many bands on their way to success.

Well I only know the singles really, and they sound pretty typical to me of the genre, maybe minus the ridiculously long solos.
